No Strings Attached

Just last month, I went on my annual camping trip down to Levi Jackson. It’s in a very subtle place surrounded by streams and the majestic forest. My family and I own an Outback 5th wheel, and so far we love it. We’ve never had a problem with the camper that wasn’t human related. Once we started to leave, I had forgotten about the awning arms being tied to a tree to give us something to hang our wet clothes up on. So when I pulled out, I heard a very loud ripping noise. I looked behind me through my towing mirrors and saw that the rope was apparently stronger that the durability of the arms. This just made me furious.

I live in a place where The Dollar General Store is the best place to go for all of your needs. So needless to say, there isn’t an RV hardware store anywhere. I think the nearest one is actually two states over, ad I really can’t drive that far for an awning. The price in gas would really be like I was paying three times the price of the awning. I got on the web and started surfing for cheap priced awning hardware, and that’s when I ran into RV Parts Country. They actually had them 75 dollars cheaper than any of the other competing dealers. The next thing I knew is that it was two days later and my awning arms had already arrived at my doorstep. I was one happy man.

Last week, after installing my arms, I got to take my camper back out on the road. When we got back to Levi Jackson, I remembered not to tie a rope to the arms. Everything seemed to be perfect and in tip-top shape. With our new awning hardware, we had the best weekend ever. When we was starting to leave, I made sure I checked for any rope that was just hanging around just to be safe.

Ways to Keep Cool: RV Air Conditioner and Awnings

Cruising around your rv in the hot summer months can make for a really fun time for the entire family. With hiking, sun tanning, picnics and swimming, few vacations can beat the summer-time fun you can have in your rv.

However, before driving around the country during the summer, you should stop to figure out how you and your family are going to keep cool during the summer vacation. Accessories, like an rv air conditioner, awning or screen room, should be thought out ahead of time.

Summer months, especially when traveling around the West Coast or the Deep South, can be very dangerous. Many people, especially the younger or elderly people, don’t realize that they are suffering from heat stroke until it is too late.

An rv air conditioner that is installed before you leave your stationary home can help your entire family stay healthy and cool while inside their home away from home. Whether the rv air conditioner is helping your family stay cool and comfortable on the road, or if it provides a cool oasis from the summer heat while the family ventures outdoors, it is always a good idea to have it on board for the safety of your family.

If you want to save energy or add to the oasis, have an awning installed on the side of your rv. You can prop up your awning every time you take a stop on the road or whenever you arrive at your destination. While the sun is gazing and blazing on everyone else outside, you can sit comfortably and cool underneath your awning. They come in all different sizes, shapes and designs these days so that you can find the right awning that matches your rv.

A screen room is another way to keep your family cool and comfortable while you are exploring the outdoors. Just prop open your screen room and attach it to your rv for an additional room and roaming space. You will be shielded from the hot sun and the unwelcome guests of nature (insects, bugs and animals) while still enjoying the sights and sounds of the outdoors. The windows and doors are screen, so you won’t miss out on anything!

Electrical Thieves

On a recent trip to the local Wal-Mart, I realized when I came out that someone had actually stolen my 7-way adapter from my truck to my trailer which controled the brakes and lighting. I was so upset. The first thing that I could think to do was to look and see if someone had seen anyone around my truck, but no one could help me. I went back into Wal-Mart to see if their security cameras had picked up any footage of the theif, but they had not. Luckily, I made it on home without causing any disturbance with on-looking police that may have noticed I didn’t have any trailer lights.

The next day I drove to my local hardware dealer and tried to find a 7-way connector, but they said they didn’t carry any RV electrical parts. That just put icing on my cake. I then checked all of the other surrounding stores that had a chance of having the connector and they either didn’t carry the product, or were sold out. I went to my RV Parts Country magazine I got from the website, and decided to call them. They actually had them in stock at a fair price. I was appalled when I found this out, so I ordered right away. Two days later, I recieved my adapter.

Ever since then, I learned to keep all of my items somewhere that I can keep a close eye on them. I even started locking my Reese hitch to the truck. I didn’t know that anyone would stoop to such a level. While looking through the RV electrical parts on their website, I also saw some other amazing deals. The next time I’m in dire need for an RV part, RV Parts Country is going to have my business for sure! I give my sincere thanks to RV Parts Country for their amazing prices.

RV Accessories for Fun, Cleaning and Emergencies

Now that you have joined the well-respected club of the righteous rv owners, it is time to start thinking about the rv accessories. Everything is available to customize your rv exactly how you want it. All the rv accessories that you dream of – from lighting and step stools to awnings and hitches – are available online.

Shopping for your rv accessories online is an easy and convenient way to browse all of your options without visiting fifty different rv suppliers. While shopping online, you can compare all the products that are on the market and choose the best brand for you. You can also browse dimensions, designs, colors and warranties.

If you ever have a question while shopping online, you are not left alone. Simply click on the ‘contact us’ button and call the supplier and get instant help over the phone. You can ask questions about what the supplier’s personal thoughts, like what is the best brand for air conditioners? What is the largest awning available? Or, what is the best way to keep a camp site clean and tidy?

Accessories are great for making your rv trip as carefree and worry-free as possible. The extra little accessories, like lighting and awnings, add a hint of home that will make your family more comfortable. Try a welcome mat in front of your rv, or stringed multi-colored lights.

While you are traveling on the road, you will want to make sure that you have all the cleaning accessories that are necessary for keeping your rv clean, comfortable and in top-shape. Do you have all the equipment that you will need if the unexpected happens, like a flat tire or a broken hitch? Get the accessories that make it easy for you to clean up after your camping trip has come to an end. Try a portable trash can that stands upright anywhere you go. That means no more tripping over trash bags that lay on the ground near the fire pit.

There are portable gas heaters, water hoses and electrical adapters that can come in handy. If you’re the kind of person to think ahead of the game, consider a satellite tripod mount, roof repair equipment and family-fun games for entertainment.

Chances are that you never know what you will need on the open road until you get out there and try it. However, there are really great rv blogs out there that are updated constantly be other rv owners. They can tell you what comes in handy and what to leave at the store.

RV Awnings, Lighting, Games for Cozy Feelings of Home

When you and your family are camping at your favorite camping spot and enjoying the night air, you may want to make your spot a bit cozier. Give your family a home away from home by sprucing up your rv and its looks.

RV awnings are a great way to create a nice sanctuary outside of your rv. Simply prop up your rv awnings and enjoy sitting beneath its shade. You can create a nice ‘home base’ area that is relaxing and much cooler than sitting in the sun. Install smaller rv awnings on your rv windows to keep the sun out and the temperature of your rv down.

Awning multi-colored globe lights are another great way to personalize your rv and camping area. They are fun, festive and make everyone feel like they are at home. Have some fun with the many colors and also keep everyone from tripping over tools, fire pits and logs. Your awnings lights will light the way for everyone to get around the camping ground safely.

Patio rugs, of course, are a common favorite for making an rv or a camping ground into a home. Choose from many different colors and phrases like, “Welcome to our RV” and “Camping Home”. Keep your rv and camping area looking stylish and nice with a vast variety of welcome mats and patio rugs to choose from.

An up-standing trash can is almost essential for camping. Don’t let your trash bags lying around your camp site, where bugs and critters can get into them or people can trip over them. A simple metal contraption that is easily collapsible can hold your garbage bags and everything it contains upright for everyone to see. This makes it easy to throw away garbage without tripping over anything.

Last but certainly not least, keep your whole family entertained while on the road and at the camp with rv-friendly games. Try travel-size domino sets, checkers, darts, and poker with automatic shufflers for a great time of family-friendly fun and laughter.

The more homey details you can add to your rv, the better. Make your whole family feel as attached to their rv as they are to your home – and also reduce the chances of your smaller kids getting home sick!

Leaks Aren’t Fun

My family and I always took a summer vacation to Yellowstone National Park
until something horrible happened. My eldest son, James, passed away
December of 2006 and we never really took the family vacation since.  It
felt wrong to go without him since he was such a camping enthusiast. Just
last summer, my youngest daughter Ellie, asked why we didn’t go on our trip
to Yellowstone anymore, and I had no real explanation to tell her. It just
occured to me that James wasn’t the only one that enjoyed going camping,
but so did my other children as well. My heart sank into my stomach when I
realized I had been keeping my family from something amazing these past
years because of something that couldn’t have been helped.

When I went out to my RV yesterday, I realized that the floor seemed very
weak when I walked across it. This was strange to me, because the last time
I was in here, it seemed fine.  Needless to say, the roof had been leaking
for a long time and I had no idea. So I went straight to my local
hardware dealer, but they didn’t have anything that specifically coated my
RV’s roof. I tried the local directory for someone that sold RV parts, but
no one within 1000 miles dealed with them. That’s when I took my search to
the internet and ran across RV Parts Country.  They had lists of nothing
but roof repair products, and they was all to my liking. I ordered a five-gallon bucket of rubber roof coating as well as some additional rubber roof
repair
products.

Three days later, my items from RV Parts Country came straight to my door
and I got started right away.  The next day, our weather forecast gave a
70% chance of rain, so I knew this would be a good test to try out my
products to see if they were actually worth the price.  Come to find out,
they were. I was so satisfied. I spent the whole next week repairing my
floor damage. If I hadn’t found the leak, it would have led to a lot more
money in due time, probably ruining my RV. Ellie was so excited to hear we
were going to continue our family vacation as we once had done before. I
told her we would just have to keep James in our heart as we had fun,
because that’s what he would have wanted.

RV Shower Tubs

Has anyone ever told you to take care of your RV and be sure to put
preservatives on your parts, especially during the winter?  Well, it occurs
to me that the many people that told me to do so were actually right. This
past winter somehow my shower head had been leaking water. Unaware of
this, I never went out to check on the condition of my RV. I always leave
the drain blocked during winter, and when all of this water leaked, it
continously started freezing and unthawing. Eventually, it cracked the
bottom of my shower tub. It wasn’t until this past February that I realized
the damage had been done. I thought maybe some sort of adhesive would
go across the crack, but that didn’t work quite well. There isn’t any store in my area that sells RV parts or appliances, let alone an RV shower tub.

I knew that the race at Bristol was coming up, and I’ve been a die-hard race fan since I was just a boy.  After driving probably 200 miles, I mentally broke down
and finally decided to go online and just find one and have it ordered
through the mail.  After sorting through the different websites, I found RV
Parts Country and knew this was the place to purchase my RV shower tub.  I
figured I was going to be paying around $250 for one compared to
prices on the other websites, but I found one on RV Parts Country for less
than half the price. The tub I bought from them was only $92. This
literally made my day.

Two short days later, a UPS truck pulled up in my yard with the package.  I
just knew it was bringing my shower.  I really couldn’t believe that it actually shipped and was processed in that short amount of time. I started taking my old one out right away.  I noticed that the crack in the tub floor had actually started causing my flooring to get soggy and start to weaken.  It was really great that I figured out that I had a leak in the tub. If not, I probably wouldn’t been out thousands of dollars getting my floor replaced.  I would like to thank my friends at RV Parts Country.

So Many Sites!

The last time I bought any RV parts, I really got frustrated. I was in serious need of a sewer hose, as I had somehow managed to actually drive over mine with my motorhome. That accident left my hose completely destroyed. Had I been more responsible, I would have been prepared and kept a backup hose on hand, but I have always been a little bit thoughtless.

I had to find a new hose immediately, as I was camping at an RV park that had very few visitors at the time. I hated the thought of asking someone to share their hose with me, so I decided to search on the internet for one, since there were no RV parts stores anywhere near my location.

At first, I discovered that there were a lot more websites selling RV parts than I had ever thought possible. They all had different prices, different shipping prices and methods, and different varieties of parts available.

Fortunately, I found RV Parts Country. They had the best price, the fastest shipping, and the friendliest customer service! I gave them a call, even though I could easily have placed my order on their website. I just wanted to talk to someone because I was lonely. The extremely courteous customer service agent took my order over the phone and assured me that my part would arrive within three business days.

The next day, my new sewer hose arrived!!!

I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited, I immediately hooked it up and put it to good use. I was finally able to relax, knowing that my sewer-hose problems were over.

Thanks to RV Parts Country for providing the most affordable RV parts on the internet!!!

Do you want to make the most out of the next vacation you take with your family? If so, you should make sure that you have the proper camper parts for your trip. You will definitely benefit from taking the right accessories and parts along with you because you won’t have to worry about stopping to purchase any along the way to your final destination. Also, if you’ve invested in some excellent camper parts, you’ll be certain that you paid a fair price for your camper accessories.

Before you leave for a trip, you probably spend a lot of time planning out what you’re going to do and what sights you would most like to see. So, why not spend a similar amount of time figuring out what you need for your mobile home? After all, you are going to be spending a considerable amount of time in your RV. You should be certain that you and your traveling companions are going to be safe and comfortable.

You might want to look into some accessories that are geared towards making your trip more comfortable and relaxing. For instance, it might be a good idea to purchase an air conditioning unit, especially if you are going to going to be taking a trip during the summer months. You should definitely make sure you have a cooling system in place if you know you are going to be traveling through a desert area.

Or, you could find some parts for your mobile home such as an awning that will make it more comfortable when you stop to rest. A good awning will shield you from the elements and will allow you to enjoy the time you spend getting some fresh air. You will definitely be glad you have an awning set up if you happen to stop at a rest stop and then realize that it’s started to rain or hail.

You should also have some camper parts that relate to the mechanics of your mobile home. You don’t want to end up stranded in a desolate area just because you forgot to bring a few vital parts along with you for the trip. You should think about some potential emergency situations and then buy the parts you think you might need in order to deal with these in a timely fashion on your own.
