Making Life Simple

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:28 pm

While camping in Nevada this past month, I’ve realized that technology has greatly advanced in the past couple of years. I was sitting in my RV, knowing that the septic tank was almost full, but still didn’t have a care to the world. While sitting in the comfort of my RV, I knew that everything would be just fine, because all I have to do is hook up my lines from the camper to the portable Barker Tote tank that I bought. It gives me 42 gallon of extra tank capacity. This extra 42 gallon is a plenty. I really hate having to dump my RV when I’m in the middle of camping. It’s such a hassle to have to get set up and then having to take it down just to go 50 feet to the dump site and then have to set back up again.

With my Barker tote tank, I just hook it back to my Silverado and pull it over to the site and dump it like I would my camper. I release my valve, and out it shoots. Unfortunately, the odor isn’t eliminated, but that’s fine by me. Even if I didn’t want to drive, it is so portable with the 4 wheels and tow handle that I could just drag it over to the dump station by myself.

I ordered my Bark Tote tank from RV Parts Country almost a year ago now, and it made it to my top ten best purchases in my life. When it said that it makes my life easier, I had no idea that they meant it’d be this much easier. Just a while back my wife even took it over to a dump site and realized how easy it was. She was very impressed. It is amazing to see a 69 year old woman pull a portable tank that is full to the brim. I have RV Parts Country to thank this new technology!

Best Birthday Present Ever!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:56 am

It seems that everywhere we go camping; someone always has those new snazzy RV globe lights hanging on their awning. Every time my wife and kids see them, I always get pestered about buying a set of them. This past May, we went to the Grand Canyon in Arizona and it seems that I was literally the only person there that didn’t have some sort of patio lights on my RV. I could tell that my wife was upset with it, so I figured I would order her a set for her upcoming birthday which was 2 weeks away.

After getting back home and checking all of my local RV dealerships for a pair, I realized that they are a very hard item to find. I decided I would take my search to the internet after driving out $50 worth of gas. When I started browsing, I ran into a couple of websites that had them, but they were all over $100 for a set. I couldn’t believe that the RV globe lights were that expensive. Finally I found a website known as RV Parts Country. They had them at almost half the price of any of the other surrounding website competitors.  I called the customer service hotline and they guaranteed that I would receive it in just a short couple of days so I went ahead and had them send me a set of them.

When it came time for my wife’s birthday party, I went ahead and pulled the lights out in under the trunk of my car and popped them into her hands.  The look on her face was well worth all of the trouble I spent trying to find them. She really had no idea she was going to receive a set of them. I have RV Parts Country to thank for such a fascinating gift and for making my wife’s birthday one of the best ones ever, that is, according to her.

Bad Cajun

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:12 am

On my trip to Kansas, I decided to stop at a RV dealer. I was scrolling through, me and the wife. We had came across a porta potty. I laughed saying I would never use one, but little did I know I would be eating my words. With so many guest with me on this trip, I decided to buy the porta potti in case of emergencies. So we finally get to the camp ground, and my mother in law decided she was going to cook. I knew it would be a bad night at that moment, because she is Cajun. I don’t like spicy foods, neither does my stomach.

So after dinner were all gathered around the table, relaxing and enjoying the trip. Then I see my father in law take off from the table running to the rest room. We all knew what was going on. I could feel it in my bones I am next! Then comes the rumbling in my stomach. Here it comes. I ran to the bathroom only to forget my father in law is in there. Then I remember, I had bought the porta potti, I ran to the woods with the porta potti. It was a lot more comfortable than the last one I had used. It was probably more comfortable than my RV toilet. So I came back to the camping spot, to find everyone making fun of me about what I had said about me never using a porta potti. I now never leave for a camping trip unless I have a port potti. So the next time you go on your camping trip don’t be like me always bring a porta potty, I learned my lesson!

RV Water Pumps At My Request!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:28 pm

On my trip down to Louisiana, I found that when I tried to turn on the water in my sink to wash off the grease on my hands, nothing came out. I went over and flipped the switch to turn on the RV water pump, but it was already turned on. My wife saw my puzzled face and asked what the problem was. I told her to go to the bathroom faucet and shower to see if the water was working. To mine and her surprise, they weren’t. I pretty well knew that the water pump was messed up, or there was a big hole in the line from the tank. I immediately called an RV mechanic to come out to see what my problem was.

Once Frank, the mechanic, arrived at the scene, he said my RV water pump was shot. He said I would have to buy a new one. He had a small list of RV parts and prices with him, but the cheapest water pump he had listed was $230.19. I couldn’t afford this at the time, so I told him I would have to wait. I called all of the surrounding places that may have a pump, but no one else carried RV pumps. Finally, I took the search to the internet. I ran into a discount RV parts dealer known as RV Parts Country. They had almost anything you could think of for an RV. I called them right up to place my order one of their Shurflo pumps and some fittings. They guaranteed fast shipping at a low price.

After having it shipped to my destination in Louisiana, the pump was waiting on my cousins doorstep when we pulled up. The cool thing about that was, it shipped in only 2 days. I felt like I had found a dependable RV parts supplier for my every need with prompt service. Not only that, but there customer service was great too. I want to personally thank all the guys over at RV Parts Country for helping me out in my time of need!

affordable RV parts fact or fiction?

Have you ever sat for hours staring at a computer screen looking for good quality RV parts? Well if you ever find yourself coming back from a camping trip wondering how you are going to afford to fix everything then look no further. I have been there, I used to sit for hours upon hours looking for a good parts store, who would have all the parts I need in a timely fashion, and affordable prices. Look no more for a great RV parts store , In this story I will explain, why one website has all your camping needs. They have everything in stock it will be shipped same day if I order before 2:00 pm! They have some of the best prices I have ever seen. Just last year my ac unit in my camper had went out! I did not know how I would afford a new one. Ac units can cost up to $1200! I love my camper but of course my wife would not go camping until I got a new ac unit. So I broke down and went shopping around for good deals on ac units for campers and rv’s. I had purchased a new unit for $1000. I thought I was getting a great deal, until I found out it would take up to 14 business days to arrive! I was furious. This was in July and the kids go back to school in August and if I don’t get the ac unit quick enough how was I ever going to show my children the great out doors? So after about a week of the wife nagging me I did some internet searching. I came across this great website called RV PARTS COUNTRY.COM. they had offered same day shipping if I ordered before 2.00 pm. They also have 3-4 day shipping available! I thought this website was to good to be true! They carried all the brands I trust. The had the best customer serviced I had ever experienced! I had my new ac unit in about 3 business days! So thanks to this website and their staff I got to enjoy a extra week of camping with my family!

Honda Generators Equals Peace

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:17 am

Last Friday, I received a Honda generator at my doorstep from RV Parts Country. I really enjoyed the fast customer shipping I received and great customer service. I had been looking to buy a Honda generator for about 4 months and really just couldn’t find the price range I’d been searching for. I’m always taking my RV out during the summer, but I upgraded to a 15 thousand BTU A/C unit, and needed something to run it. The Honda EU3000is didn’t really have the capability to do this, so I bought 2 of the Honda EU2000i’s along with a parallel cable to link them together to make a 4000 amp generator.

That Saturday, I got to put my RV and Honda generators to the test as I went camping in the Daniel Boone Nation Forest in Northern Kentucky. There is a great stream that runs that is stocked full with trout. I always enjoy fishing while I camp, and it calls for a great meal! After getting my stringer full and losing all of my fluids through perspiration due to the hot sun, I went back to my RV to sit beneath the cool A/C unit I have. So I fired up my 2 Honda EU2000i’s, plugged up my generator adapter and cord, cranked up my A/C, and sat in the recliner while my fish were frying on the stove. My first thought of the Honda generators, were that they are so quiet, but yet, they are so portable. Its hard to understand why one company is so much better than another, but the main part is, I have the best!

After eating my fish sandwiches, I put the rest in the refrigerator for an evening snack! When my wife was still alive, we always use to come up here for a weekend getaway to fish and cookout. It seemed to always sooth us. She passed away a couple year back with cancer, but sometimes I still feel like she’s right here with me. I know she would love the capability of these Honda generators. Her health wasn’t so fine in the last couple years we came here, so we never really done that much fishing. I could tell that it would depress her, but I know she would have if she’d been able. She use to get annoyed by the past generator we had. It was so loud. Since she had to stay in the RV almost all the time, she had to put up with the noise. I just wish she was here with me now to see how quiet these things are!

RV Parts Country Is A Better Hero Than Superman!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:49 pm

Last month, my idea of the perfect camping trip turned into be the worst outing in my entire life! I think if my whole RV were to have got struck by lightning, it wouldn’t have made the situation any worse! I have just now got all of my RV parts installed that were defaced on my trip. When I said I wanted to go on a family vacation, I really didn’t mean that I wanted to take the whole family. I just meant my wife and son.

So June 3rd, I announce that I was going on a family vacation at my sister’s house, so she invited herself, her family, my brother, his family, and all of his step children to come. I really hated to sound mean, so I just kept to myself and wished that I hadn’t mentioned it. I would rather be at work than around any of my nieces and nephews. There isn’t a single one of them, that isn’t a brat. Not to mention, where in the world was I going to fit all of these people. My RV is 39 feet long, and it will sleep 8 very nicely, but 19? There was no way.
When we arrived Saturday at the resort park, I noticed that my brother’s and my sister’s family had any tents. This confused me. For a second, I thought they were all going to sleep on the ground. Angie, my sister, then spoke up and said, “All the kids are going to sleep with you James.” I thought to myself, “Shoot me, please!” Being the nice guy that I am, I didn’t speak up to say anything back in my defense. I really dreaded when the sun was going to go down, because I knew that’s was when the kids were all going to be inside the RV. I knew they were going to at least destroy something, but I didn’t know they was going to destroy the whole thing!

When it came Monday morning, I couldn’t believe what I’d been through. I was just glad to have got a good night’s peace of rest after the savages had kept me and my wife up for the past 2 days. I went ahead and got on my favorite site, RV Parts Country, and went straight ahead and ordered all the stuff that I needed. I had to get new faucets, table supports, drawer slides, door handles, curtains, and any other RV part you could think of. I’m just glad I know of a place I can depend on when I get desperate for parts.
